White Grass is our 'upmarket' choice of accommodation on Tanna for couples. It is on the airport side of the island so it takes a couple of hours travelling to get to the volcano on safari - but you have to make the trek across the island wherever you stay, so White Grass gives you a welcome drink 5 minutes after arriving and is only five minutes drive for departures.

The bungalows are comfortable with en suites (there are honeymoon bungalows), there's a swimming pool and you can watch the sunset from your balcony or the restaurant/bar/library.

Volcano safaris depart at 3:00pm and go via the White Grass wild horses to get to the rim of Mt Yasur for sunset and return by 8:30 for dinner.
